As the data shown, Chinese industrial aluminum profile output increased from 5.63 million tons to 9.592 million tons from 2019 to 2023, and it is expected that Chinese industrial aluminum profile output will reach 9.77 million tons in 2024, a 1.86% increase compared to last year. The main application includes: photovoltaic, rail transportation, automobiles, and consumer electronics.
Instead, the domestic output of architectural aluminum profiles has shown a downward trend in recent years, mainly affected by the sluggish downstream real estate market.
The supply gap between industrial aluminum profiles and architectural aluminum profiles is gradually narrowing. From 2019 to 2023, the architectural aluminum profiles dropped from 70% to 56%, while the industrial aluminum profiles increased from 30% to 44%.
