The Economist Intelligence Unit expects global demand for primary aluminium to grow by 2.5% in 2024, and by 2.6% and 2% in 2025 and 2026 respectively, but faces a share squeeze from scrap demand. Production is forecast at 72.3 million tonnes in 2024, 73.2 million tonnes in 2025 and 74 million tonnes in 2026.
